SUMMER 2011 - American Summer Camp with Native SpeakersHaving fun and learning English at the same time? Yes, it’s possible at Camp Wonderland! For the seventh year in a row, we are organizing the coolest camp in Slovakia. Your child will feel like having entered a completely different country where teachers speak only English, counselors help you roast marshmallows on an open fire and new friends might come from a far-away exotic kingdom or a nearby Slovak town. For Whom?To make it a truly international experience Camp Wonderland welcomes not only Slovak kids, but also children from other European countries and ex-pats living in Slovakia. The Camp is for kids from 9 to 17 years old. They are split into groups according to age and language skills, so it doesn’t matter if they have just started learning English or can already chat away. 
Having Fun with EnglishLearning English is so much easier when you are having a good time. That’s why we teach English through games and activities during morning lessons. And by playing, singing, chatting and simply having fun with the kids throughout the rest of the day, English will get under your child’s skin, much similar to them spending 10 days in London or Florida. 
The ProgramWe have prepared a program full of outdoor activities, sports, crazy competitions, music, dance and laughter. We will do lots of adventurous stuff like sailing on Lake Neusiedler in Austria, sleeping under the stars and exploring the nearby cave. Not to mention Miguel's Mystery Activity and Capture the Flag..  The TeachersTeachers from the US, Canada, England, the Netherlands and other countries will communicate with the children in English, but they will bring more than just their language to Wonderland. Through a rich program of activities and events your child will also discover their culture, games, sports, songs and food.

SafetyIn order to guarantee your child maximum safety during their stay at Camp Wonderland, two adults will look after each group of 10 (one teacher and one counselor). This way, we can give each child the care and attention they need.
AccommodationThe
camp is located in a beautiful forest on the slopes of the Carpathians near
the town of Smolenice, just an hour ride from Bratislava. It has 16 recently-upgraded
wooden cottages each with its own bathroom and enough beds to accommodate 5 children
